Alan D. Jackson Sr.

March 20, 1944 ~ December 18, 2016 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Alan D. Jackson Sr., age 72, of Camp Douglas, died on Sunday Dec. 18, 2016 at Mile Bluff Medical Center in Mauston, WI.  Alan was the son of Adolph and Adeline (Behrens) Jackson and was born on March 20, 1944 in Greenwood, WI.  Alan graduated from Lake Forest High School.  Alan married Pam Holstron and they had 2 children, Dana, and Alan Jr., and they later divorced.  Later Alan was united in marriage to Sandra Kay (VanNess) Petersen on August 8, 1998.

Alan owned Hi-Tech Auto Body in Sparta and he also did upholstery.  He later drove truck for Skinner Transportation.  Alan also had a pilot’s license.  Alan had a talent for painting wildlife, which he loved to do, and has many beautiful paintings.  He enjoyed playing guitar and keyboards, fishing, sewing, and hanging out with granddaughter Krystal.

Alan is survived by his wife Sandra K. Jackson of Camp Douglas, WI, his daughter Dana (Russ) Tock of Sparta, WI, his son Alan (Lauren Schmidt-Lauritzen) Jackson Jr. of Sparta, WI, 2 step-daughters, Kelly Swanson of Camp Douglas, and Kimberly (Dave Khollman) Petersen of New Lisbon, grandchildren, Ben, Cassie, Joel, Jeffrey, Maggie, Aaron, Charles, Krystal, Amber, and Brandon, great grandsons, Josiah and Nolan, and great granddaughter Dakota. By his brother, Conrad (Sandy) Jackson of Eau Claire, WI, and a sister Betty (Curt) Hong of Eau Claire, WI, and by many nieces and nephew’s other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elaine Zilk, Carole Schuld, Marjorie Herdrich, a brother Robert Jackson, and a stepson Tommy Petersen.

Memorial Service will be held on Thursday December 22, 2016 at 12:00p.m. at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon.  Rev. Deb Burkhalter will preside.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday from 10:00a.m. until the time of service. Online condolences are available at www.harefuneralhome.com
