Anna Marie Johnson, age 92, of Kendall, WI passed peacefully with her children by her side on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Crest View Nursing Home in New Lisbon, WI.  Anna was the daughter of Albin and Ida (Hendrickson) Falk and was born on January 2, 1925.  She was the 4th of 8 children and the 1st born on the family farm in Maple, WI. Anna attended the Corner School from kindergarten to 10th grade in Maple, WI.  She attended grades 11 & 12 at Superior High School in Superior, WI, going home only on weekends.  After graduation in 1944 she attended Vocational School in Superior to be trained as a telegrapher.  She was hired by the Chicago Northwestern Rail Road and was the last depot agent in Hustler, WI. Here she met the love of her life, Harold Lloyd Johnson, to whom she was married over 50 years.

On July 31, 1945 Harold was drafted into the Army and stationed in Little Rock, AR.  Anna and Harold were united in marriage on November 10, 1945 in Little Rock, AR.  Anna moved to Hustler when Harold was sent to Germany and she stayed with Harold’s parents.  In January 1947 Harold was discharged from the service and they bought Harold’s Grandpa Ole and Grandma Helen’s farm.  To this union they were blessed with 5 children: Kenneth, Dolores, Katherine, Yvonne, and Douglas. They operated the farm “on the hill” from 1947-1977.  Anna lived there for 67 years and loved it. She worked for Triple P in Necedah from 1965 to 1987 and was proud to be the 6th person hired there.  After retiring she taught herself to sew and quilt.  This has been her passion, even sewing at Crest View.  She loved the outdoors, especially her flowers. She loved being on the farm “on the hill”.

Anna is survived by her daughter-in-law Peggy (the late Kenneth) Johnson of Oconomowoc, WI and their children Lori Johnson, Michael (Kristie) Johnson and Jennifer (Jon) Disch;  by daughter Dolores (Don) Raspiller of Lyndon Station, WI and their children Denise (Ernie) Giebel, Dwight Raspiller, and Dianna Raspiller; by daughter Katherine (James) Kellogg of Janesville and their sons Casey (Renee’) Kellogg and Keith (Shari) Kellogg;  by daughter Yvonne Bruce of Dousman, WI; and by son Douglas (Sandy) Johnson of Oconomowoc, WI, and their children Alex Johnson and Danielle Johnson; and by a very special friend, neighbor and “adopted daughter” Katie (Dave) Olson of Kendall, WI.  Further survived by 12 Great Grandchildren,  Eliana Johnson, Emily Johnson, Henry Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Hunter Disch, Tanner Disch, Taylor Disch, Ethan (Brianna) Giebel, Mitchell Giebel, Mckenna Kellogg, Jenna Kellogg, and Calahan Kellogg.  Also by sisters, Ina Falk of Superior, WI and Clara (Gene) Karich of Lake Nebagamon, WI, and by Harold’s sisters, Joyce (Dan) Zabludowski and Shirley Rice both of Mountain Home, AR.  And by many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband Harold, eldest son Kenneth, granddaughter Erin Bruce, and son-in-law James Bruce; by her parents, brothers Dale Falk and LeRoy Falk, and sisters Gladys Falk, Florence Maupin, and Ruby Keveri.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to the staff at Crest View Nursing Home for their “very special” care for the past 3 years.

The children have been incredibly blessed to have had the “Best Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma EVER.  “QUILT ON!”

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday February 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fountain Lutheran Church (W10815 Church Rd) Kendall, WI, with Pastor Jim Gerth presiding.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W Pearl St.) New Lisbon, WI on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and also on Wednesday at the church from 10:00a.m. till the time of service.  Anna’s wish was to have all Memorials be directed to the Fountain Lutheran Church.  Online condolences are available at www.harefuneralhome.com
