Edward W. O’Connor Sr. age 94, of New Lisbon, WI passed away on Friday October 13, 2017 at home.  Edward was the son of George and Margaretta (Bowman) O’Connor and was born on January 5, 1923 in the town of Clearfield.

Edward graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1941.  Edward was a farmer most of his life until retiring in 1978.  Edward enjoyed his farming, wood working and his love of reading books. 

Edward married Leona (Franke) on May 14, 1949.  They were the love of each other’s lives.  To this union three children were born, Diane (deceased), Debra and Edward Jr.

Edward is survived by his children, Debra (Robert) Jensen of Greenleaf, WI, Edward (Donna) O’Connor Jr. of New Lisbon, WI, 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Sarah) Jensen, Bradley Jensen, Edward T. O’Connor, Gail (Tim) Turner, Candance (Randy)Hall, Dan O’Connor, Keith (Amanda) O’Connor, Nanci Hoover, 7 great grandchildren, Tessa Turner, Bree Turner, Micah Turner, Edward M. O’Connor, Abigayle Jensen, Keith Noah O’Connor, Charlotte O’Connor, a brother James (Maggie) O’Connor and Son-in-law Cecil Hoover.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Leona on Feb. 13, 2017,  a brother George O’Connor, a sister AnnaMae Woodcock, and by his daughter Diane.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday October 21, 2017 at 11:00am at the First Baptist Church (525 S. Washington St.) in New Lisbon.  Relatives and friends may call at the First Baptist Church on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service.  Pastor James Appel presiding.  Burial will take place in the New Lisbon City Cemetery.  Online guestbook available at www.harefuneralhome.com
