Jean was such a blessing to me as a fellow pastor's wife! When I first met her, I was young and insecure in my role as a "PW" and Jean was lively and expressive! She scared me! :-) However, one evening we were seated together at a dinner and Jean opened the conversation by asking, "What is your life verse?" I told her she might think it was silly, but, "Psalm 119:165, 'Great peace have they that love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.'" Jean's face lit up and she said, "I LOVE that verse! One day I was so blessed by that verse that I marched around the kitchen table, shouting, 'Nothing! Nothing! Nothing shall offend me!'" From that laughing moment, we were soul-mates. I learned so much from Jean and pray her family will be blessed and comforted.

I am saddened to hear of Jean's passing, but thankful for the testimony she has left behind and rejoicing in her new life with her Lord. I have many memories of her beautiful singing when she and Harold would visit our home church, Immanuel Baptist in Westbrook MN.
