Louise C. Hemenway, age 74, of New Lisbon, WI., died on Tuesday October 25, 2016 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.  Louise was the daughter of Hilton F. and Marcella (Bennett) Wagie, and was born on October 12, 1942, in Madison, WI.  The family later moved to New Lisbon area in 1950.  Louise attended the New Lisbon High School.

Louise was united in marriage to Edward W. Hemenway on September 05, 1959 at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, in Camp Douglas, WI.  Louise was active in the United Methodist Church in New Lisbon, the New Lisbon Choralbelles, she enjoyed baking, and growing vegetables and flowers, and doing ceramics, Rosemaling painting, and doing arts and crafts.  You could also find her taking pictures of everything.  Louise and her husband owned a Christmas tree business that got busy every fall with lots of friends getting their trees.

Louise is survived by her children, Shawn (Mary Erickson) Hemenway, of New Lisbon, Jeff (Laura Rose) Hemenway, her mother, Marcella Wagie Janney, of Tomah, WI, a sister, Donna Sharp of O’Fallon, MO, special friend Ray Grob,  grandchildren, Matthew W. Hemenway, of Austin, TX, Jacob L. Hemenway, of Vermillion, SD, Anna L. Hemenway, of Brookings, SD, Karen Elston, of Alexandria, AL, 2 great grandsons, Xavier Patterson of Appleton, WI, Torey Elston, of Alexandria AL, , and by nieces and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.  She was preceded in death by her father Hilton, husband Edward, and a sister Barbara Baldwin. 

Funeral Services will be held on Monday October 31, 2016 at 11:00am at the New Lisbon Community Center (110 Welch Prairie Rd).  Relatives and friends may call at the New Lisbon Community Center on Sunday, October 30 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm, and on Monday from 10:00am until the time of service.  Pastor Deb Burkhalter presiding.  Memorials to the Breast Cancer Association would be appreciated.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with services.   Online guestbook available at www.harefuneralhome.com
