Lois Thompson Brady called me yesterday and told me about Dickie. Lois was Dickie's best friend all through school and beyond. I knew Dickie in Junior High and though she was the most beautiful girl in the whole school...and the smartest. I can tell by the picture in the newspaper that she was still beautiful. She was our head cheerleader at Atkins Junior High and she had so much energy and spirit. Lois was right by her side. You never saw one without the other. I have been thinking of Dickie the past few weeks. And then Lois called me. She was a wonderful bright spirit and will make a wonderful angel. I am sorry for your loss. Lois doesn't have a computer so this is from her also. I will copy this --if the computer will let me and mail it to her. She is grieving and this will give her something to hang on to. It has helped me reading about her life and seeing her picture. I have let a few people from Atkins and Slaton Junior High Schools know that will remember her. One of the guys posted this site on our little private web place. It's just for the Lubbock kids that used to run around together. From Gail Buckner Luna
