Owen R. Lewis

Owen R. Lewis, age 21 of New Lisbon/Mauston, WI. died unexpectedly on Friday, January 29, 2021.  Owen was the son of Troy Lewis and Tonia (Haws) Hale and was born on August 22, 1999 in Mauston, Wisconsin. 

Owen attended school at New Lisbon up until the 8th grade.  He then went to Mauston High School and graduated in 2018.  After graduation he started working for Scott’s Construction in Lake Delton as a Paver. He was employed at Scott’s Construction for 3 years.

Owen enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and just simply loved the outdoors.  He enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, motorcycle riding and hot tubbing.  Owen was a free-spirited young man who enjoyed living on the edge and always made time for the things that were important to him.

Owen is survived by his father Troy Lewis of New Lisbon, mother Tonia (Richard) Hale of Mauston, his siblings, Mercedez (Trenton) Lewis of Hustisford, Blayne Lewis of Mauston, Aerial Hale of Mauston, JR Hale of Mauston, Jayce Lewis of New Lisbon, paternal grandparents Dave (Patricia) Lewis of New Lisbon and Kim (Dawn) Hale of Mauston, his aunts and uncles; Susan (Francis) Schindler of Hustler, Christine Lewis of Kansas, Terry Lewis, David Lewis of Reedsburg, Terri Bean of Sparta, Trish (Jim) Gorn of Kendall, Tabitha (Justin) Parker of New Lisbon, Eugene (Lauren) Haws of Tomah, Kimberly (Brian) Osborne of Mauston, Misty (Christian) Hale of Mauston, a special uncle Pete Melde, special cousins, Christopher Melde of Sparta and Sam Murphree of Virginia and by many other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Eugene Haws and Karon Bolden, a cousin Michael Melde, uncle Thomas Bean and uncle Jack Maki. 

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 12:00PM at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W. Pearl St.) in New Lisbon.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday at the Hare Funeral Home from 9:00am until the time of service.  Pastor Donavon Blair presiding.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online guestbook available at www.harefuneralhome.com
