Jean McGee Obituary

Jean A. McGee, age 94, of Hustler, WI died on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Crest View Nursing Home in New Lisbon.  Jean was the daughter of Herbert and Edna (Steffan) Niechulz, and was born on May 23, 1924 in West Allis, Wisconsin. 

Jean was born and raised in West Allis.  She worked for Allis-Chalmers for many years.  She moved to Milwaukee and then to the north side of Chicago, where she worked in her own bar restaurant, cooking.  She then moved to Hustler, where she met many friends.  Jean joined the Hooter Bowl and bowled many years.  She later worked part time at the Hooter Bowl in the Kitchen and for Hustle Inn Bar & Grill. 

Jean loved bowling, loved to plant outside, enjoyed parades, dancing, was a diehard Brewer’s and Packer’s fan; never missed dressing up for Halloween in crazy outfits; loved seeing all the kids; was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a long-time member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Hustler.

Jean is survived by a daughter Lynn Brown (Lanny Larson) of Hustler, WI, a son Rick (Georgian) Thompson of Milwaukee, WI, a son Dennis Laschinski of South Dakota, 6 grandchildren, Debra Irish, Tim (Bib) Irish, Shannon Jenkins, Lisa Thompson, Kim Thompson, Dawn Thompson, and by many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Edward, grandson’s Patrick and Mickel, aunts and uncles, and cousins.
