Lynn Wallace Edgerton passed away peacefully on November 8, 2017, at St Clare Hospital, surrounded by family. Lynn was born in New Lisbon, Wisconsin on April 3, 1943, to Edna (De Lapp) & Lynn Edward Edgerton. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Linda.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Phyllis (O’Dell) Edgerton of West Allis, his sister Tina (Dennis) Nowicki of Necedah, Wisconsin, daughter Deborah Hopper of West Allis, sons Brian (Mary) Edgerton and Charles Edgerton of New Lisbon, and daughter Shelley Brandt of Mauston; grandchildren Christopher Edgerton (Samantha) of West Allis, Shane Winder of Mauston, Amelia Lutz of Milwaukee, Amara Brandt of Mauston, Abigail Lutz of New Lisbon, Sara Hopper of Oak Creek, Nathan Rose of Prairie du Chien , Mary Hopper of West Allis, Jesse & Dalton Bendel of Mauston, Kasen, Karey & Kallen Edgerton of New Lisbon; great grandchildren Jesse Dotson, Christopher Edgerton Jr, Dilynn Kelbel, Ariyanah Brandt, Riley & Wyatt Edgerton, Ryan Winder and two more great grandchildren due next year. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews and dear friends.

He grew up in New Lisbon and spent the majority of his life in the Mauston/New Lisbon area, as well as a few years off & on with his daughter in West Allis. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gun collecting, competing in stock car racing within the Wisconsin area as #11a, tinkering with classic cars & hot rods, singing (even recording a song with his cousin’s band), drawing, baseball & he was an awesome auto body technician. He owned & operated a couple body shops in the area over the years. He drove semi-tractor for many years, worked on the docks in Chicago & had hobby farms.

Above all, he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He had a special bond with his fishing buddy and grandson, Shane Winder, granddaughter Mary Hopper (his “aw bull-shit” partner, who refused to let him off the hook without telling her he loved her), his granddaughter Karey Edgerton, who he told an awesome wrestling move that would make her opponents collapse, & his great-granddaughter Ariyanah to whom he was “Papa Wynn”. He loved his Packers, Brewers and gambling. Many knew him as the “Mauston Mauler” in his younger years but then he became the “Mauston Faller” & lately he would say he was the “Mauston Crawler”. He lived a good life and enjoyed it fully with a smile on his face & a joke on his tongue most of the time.
