Vincent Nicholas Fries, age 65, of New Lisbon, died on Wednesday Nov. 8, 2017 at his home in the Town of Clearfield in Juneau County.  Vince was the son of Douglas L. and Mary Ann (Aiello) Fries and was born on November 21, 1951 in Peoria, IL.  Vince’s family moved to Monroe County, WI, in the 1960’s, and Vince graduated from Tomah High School in 1970.

In his younger days Vince worked with his father building silos and doing concrete work on area farms.  Later Vince became a Master Electrician, and worked in Michigan and Florida, and returned to Wisconsin in the 1980’s.

Vince enjoyed working in the garden and planting flowers, and doing research on the internet. Often times he enjoyed riding his ATV down to the river to relax. He also could be seen at local restaurants having coffee and talking, he could talk to anyone.  Vince also enjoyed his cats and dogs. 

He is survived by his significant other of 14 years, Sharon Roach of New Lisbon, his mother Mary Ann Fries of West Salem WI, his siblings: Vickie Fries of West Salem WI, Douglas A. (Mary) Fries of Norwalk WI, Darren (Dixie) Fries of Tomah WI, Jennie (Rich) Worman of West Salem WI, and Jay “Tony” (Dodee) Fries of Cashton WI. Further survived by many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.  Vince was preceded in death by his father Douglas L. Fries.

A “Gathering of Family and Friends” will be held on Friday November 17, 2017 from 4:00P.M. until 7:00P.M. at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W.
