Florian R. Wesley

Florian R. Wesley, age 89 of New Lisbon, WI. passed away peacefully at Cottage Care in Mauston on August 17, 2023. Born on January 2, 1934, in Wisconsin.  He was the son of Charles and Anna (Lavota) Wesley and was born on January 2, 1934.

Florian was born in Racine, graduated and went on to school for air conditioning, working for 20 years in the field.  Florian later bought a small restaurant and spent 20 years as the proud owner of a restaurant in Necedah. His commitment to providing a warm and welcoming place for the community to gather was a testament to his generous spirit.  After retirement, Florian met  Emelia Jarina and they later married on August 6, 2006 in the Philippines.

Beyond his work, Florian had a deep passion for antique cars. He loved the thrill of finding a diamond in the rough, investing time and effort into restoring it to its former glory, and then finding it a new home where it would be appreciated. His knowledge of classic cars was vast.

Florian R. Wesley lived a life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family and community. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace, Florian, knowing you left the world a better place.

Florian is survived by his loving wife, Emelia of New Lisbon, and his children; Sharon (Larry) Miller of Waterford, Dolly Wesley Brown of Adams Friendship, Janice (Greg) Schanning of South Milwaukee, Raymond Sr of New Lisbon, and Dennis (Trina) of South Milwaukee. He is also survived by his brother Donny (Donna) of Milwaukee and his sister Lilian of Milwaukee. Florian was a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind a large family who will miss him dearly.   He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Bill, Larry and Chuck, and by his children Tommy, Donna and Ronnie.  His legacy will live on through his many relatives and friends who remember him fondly.
