Harold J. West

Harold James West, age 75, of New Lisbon, died on Monday October 24, 2022, at the University Hospital in Madison WI.  He was born October 26, 1946, in Rice Lake, WI to Harold A. and Jacqueline E. (Keller) West.  Harold was a 1964 graduate of East High School in Madison, WI.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1966 to 1967.  Harold worked for MG&E for over 30 years.  Harold was united in marriage to Kay E. Parent on September 16, 1994, in Las Vegas, NV.  He was a longtime resident of Waubesa Lake beach area near Madison, WI, but moved to a farm in Juneau County in 2011.    He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and the solitude of the rural community of the farm.  He enjoyed the life of a snowbird for many years wintering in Florida.

Harold is survived by his wife Kay of New Lisbon, sons Greg and Ken, two stepchildren Jeff and Heather, his sister Patsy, and by many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Phillip, his sister Wendy and grandson Jason.

A Celebration of Harold Life will be held on Sunday November 13, 2022, at the Necedah VFW Hall, (106 Plum St.) in Necedah, WI from 1:00p.m. until 4:00p.m.  Military Honors will take place at the Hall at 3:30p.m.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with services.  Online condolences are available at www.harefuneralhome.com
