Helen Braithwaite Obituary

Helen J. Braithwaite, age 90 of New Lisbon passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by loved ones. Helen was born in Saguache, Colorado and was the daughter of Juan and Tillie (Archueleta) Quintana. Helen was one of 16 children and graduated from Saguache High School. In July, of 1952 Helen enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in San Francisco where she then met and married Jimmie A. Lambrecht. Out of their marriage they had one child, DeAnn Lambrecht (Gollmar). Helen and Jimmie later separated and divorced. She then met the love of her life Paul Braithwaite Sr, who brought Paul Braithwaite Jr. into the family. Together they had seven beautiful grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Helen was a member of the American Business Women’s Association, she enjoyed traveling and most importantly spending time with her family. 

Helen is survived by her daughter DeAnn (Scott) Gollmar of New Lisbon, Son Paul Braithwaite Jr. of Kennewick WA. Siblings Luther (Margaret) Quintano of Vancouver WA, Virginia Hughes of Gresham OR, Billie Quintana of Monte Vista, CO, Joe (Donna) Quintana of Ria Vista, CA.  Grandchildren Jamie Braithwaite, Lucas Heffler, Robert Heffler, Bryan Heffler, Ilea Heffler (Joe Baumgart), Jamie Gollmar, Nick (Melissa) Gollmar. And sixteen great grandchildren.  You will always be in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul Braithwaite Sr. numerous siblings, and her brother-in-law James.

Helen wishes were to be cremated with no services.  She will be interred with her husband Paul in the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with arrangements.
