Joseph Engel Obituary

Joseph E. Engel age 80 of New Lisbon, died on March 9, 2020 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. Joseph was the son of Charles Sr. and Delia (White) Engel and was born on September 23, 1939 in Ottawa, IL.

Joseph spent most of his life in Illinois moving to several different towns, due to his job as a pipefitter/ welder. Joseph was united in marriage to Wendy Smith on April 26, 1969, in Morris, IL. Joseph and Wendy later moved to Wisconsin in 1993 and have resided here since.

Joseph is survived by his wife Wendy of New Lisbon, his 4 children; Chis of New Lisbon, Kimberly (John) Merbs of Centreville, MI, Robert of Ottawa, IL, Angela of Ottawa, IL, two sisters; Janice (Richard) Lucas of Ottawa, IL, Carol McCormick of Ottawa, IL, numerous step grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son Joseph.

A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date in Illinois. The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with services.
