Laurie J. (Baier) Fischer

Laurie J. Fischer age 65 of Necedah, WI. died on Wednesday, January 4th, 2023 at her home.  Laurie was the daughter of Theodore R. and Betty (Burns) Baier Sr. and was born on March 18, 1957 in Sharon, WI.  Laurie was raised in Janesville and attended school at Parker High School.  While in school she met George Fischer and they were later married on August 2, 1975 in Janesville, WI.  Laurie and George later moved to Necedah.  Laurie worked for Farnum’s for many years and then at Wal-Mart until her illness got to be to much. 

Laurie loved to fish and turkey hunt.  She enjoyed writing and published her own poetry book called “A window to my Life”.  She loved to go out “bigfooting”.  Most of all Laurie loved her family and was a devoted Christian. 

Laurie is survived by her husband of 47 years, George of Necedah, her children; Steven (Annette) of Green Bay, Greg (Amanda) of Red Granite, a sister Kris Baier of Janesville, a brother Theodore R. (Terese) Baier Jr. of Estero, FL., a sister-in-law Sandra (Tim) Van Meter of Nekoosa, 4 grandchildren; Samantha, Jeremy, Elizabeth and Weston and by other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hare Funeral Home (217 W. Pearl St.) in New Lisbon, WI.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with services.  Online condolences are available at www.harefuneralhome.com
