Robert J. Tafel

Robert J. Tafel age 63 of Necedah died on Thursday November 11. 2021 at the Serenity House in Tomah, WI.  Robert was born April 4, 1959 in Chicago, IL to Robert F. and Christine L. (Michalski) Tafel.  Robert graduated from McHenry High School in 1977.  Robert was married to Barbara Hebda on June 14, 2002 in Poland.  Robert was a car salesman for Nelson Auto Sales in McHenry, Illinois for many years retiring in 2020. 

Robert loved Motocross, he enjoyed NASCAR, sports, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Chicago White Sox, he liked doing yard work, gardening, and planting flowers.

Robert is survived by his wife Barbara of Necedah, daughter Dominique (Nathan Griffith) Tafel and their daughter Isolde Griffith of Muskego, WI (and a boy on the way), and by his mother Christine of Mauston, WI, his brother James Tafel of New Lisbon, a niece Jennifer Bowers of Waterloo, WI and her daughter Corrin.  He was preceded in death by his father Robert, and 2 sisters Ramona Tafel and Barbara Schulz.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday Nov. 18, 2021 at 11:00a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Necedah, with Fr. Wesley Janowski presiding.  Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at the church on Thursday from 10:00a.m. until the time of service.  Inurnment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Cemetery.  Donations will go directly to his wife Barbara to help with service and estate costs https://gofund.me/b6c7a3af
