Shawn Michael Zielke, 55, of Necedah, formally of Madison, WI, was suddenly called home to heaven on January, 25, 2019. He was born April 16, 1964 in Fayetteville, North Carolina, the first son of Jeffrey and Marilyn (Smith) Zielke.
He leaves behind his children, Shawn Zielke, of Florida, and Jessica (James) Coon of Manitowoc. He is further survived by his girlfriend Rosie Poff, mother Marilyn Zielke, brothers Scott (Laurie) Zielke and Micah (Kim) Zielke; one granddaughter, Ziva Coon, nine nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends. His father, Jeffrey Zielke, preceded him in death.
Early in his life, rebellion and addiction caused him to lose sight of much that was important to him. Eventually he chose to forsake that lifestyle, and his change of heart and commitment to following his Lord, Jesus Christ, allowed him to restore many broken relationships, and to become a strong mentor to many young people.
Shawn’s hobbies included auto mechanics, cooking and gardening. Though chronic health conditions in his later years prevented him from holding a regular job, he enjoyed helping others, especially using his skills as a house painter and auto mechanic. He was generous and a good friend to many in his church community.
Mr. Zielke was cremated, and a service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, February 15th from 10am- 2:00pm at Bible Baptist Church, 148 Grayside Avenue, Mauston, WI 53948
