Shirley M. (Tremain) Bailey

Shirley Mae Bailey, age 85 of New Lisbon, died on Monday, July 30, 2018 at Fair View Nursing Home in Mauston, Wisconsin. 

Shirley was the daughter of Herbert Glenn and Laura C. (Ormson) Tremain and was born on May 8th, 1933 in Elroy, WI.  She attended the New Lisbon School District, graduating with the class of 1951.  She was united in marriage to Earl William Bailey on June 9th, 1951 in Hustler, WI.  Together with her family they owned and operated Bailey’s Plumbing and Heating and Mound View mobile home court until retirement. 

Shirley was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hustler, WI.  Shirley enjoyed her art work, snowmobiling with family and friends, and traveling across the country. 

Shirley is survived by her children, Earl (Kathy) Jr. of New Lisbon, Randy (Deborah) of Chetek, Steve (Debra) of Wisconsin Rapids, cousins, Donald Benson, Stanley Benson, Judy Forsythe, John Dixon, and Chuck Dixon, 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Earl in 2007. 

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 1:00pm at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon (217 W. Pearl St.).  A visitation will be held on August 2, at the Hare Funeral Home from 11:00pm until the time of service.  Pastor James Gerth presiding.  Burial will take place in the Hustler Cemetery.  Memorials to Fair View Nursing Home would be appreciated.  The Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon is assisting the family with services.  Online condolences available at www.harefuneralhome.com
