Ardith M. Cook age 81 of Camp Douglas, WI., passed away on Thursday, December 21st at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, WI. Ardith was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin on December 24, 1935 to Carl and Gertrude (Balsley) Hall. She was united in marriage with Arden E. Cook on February 11, 1956 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hustler.
Ardith was employed at Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo for over 15 years as a buffet supervisor, as well as working at the casino she had many fond memories of going gambling and trips to Las Vegas. She enjoyed crocheting and crafting including flower arrangements for several weddings. She also enjoyed going to dances where her sons played country music.
Ardith is survived by her sons, Randy (Kathy) Cook of Necedah, Charles (Jean) Cook of Camp Douglas, daughter-in-law, Patti Cook of Necedah, her siblings, Edith Hall of Union Grove, Audrey Goodhall of Union Grove, Dorothy (David) Cook of Wisconsin Rapids, Scott (Marie) Hall of Bristol, Ken (Deb) Hall of New Lisbon, grandchildren, Adam Cook, Andrew Cook, Zach Cook, Jacob Cook, Joe Cook, Becky Cook, Hannah Cook, 2 great grandchildren, Jayden Vanderhoof and Annie Cook, and by many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arden in 2005, her son Ronald in 2000, sisters, Lavonne Hiller, Betty Lou Manning, Susie Volk, Peggy Blank, Geraldine Johnson, and a brother Charles Hall.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (208 Allen Rd) New Lisbon. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, December 26 at the Hare Funeral Home in New Lisbon from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Pastor Russell "Chip" Wilke III presiding.
